That's according to Forbes, which surveyed 20 tech leaders from around the world to find out what companies are doing to attract, retain, and promote internal tech talent.
Among the tips: Offer regular feedback, establish mentorship programs, and offer roles and responsibilities that allow employees to "understand your company's products and services, mission, and processes could be a very smart strategy," the council says.
Don't just jump ship if you're offered a new position at a different company.
"The only thing you can have is team members hitting internal internal processes and policies in place for building a robust and effective internal tech talent pipeline," the council says.
