Indiana's St.Lucie County School Board voted unanimously Tuesday to give its teachers and support staff a one-time, $2.8 million bonus. The bonuses will range from $225 for beginning teachers to $850 for veteran teachers with more than 15 years of experience, the Indianapolis Star reports. Support staff and non-instructional teachers will also get one-time bonuses, ranging from $150 to $300 depending on their hourly wage. The district and employee unions reached agreements for the one-time bonuses last month. The bonuses come from a four-year, 1-mil property tax voters approved in 2019.
