The First County Bank Foundation awarded $41,500 in grants to 9 nonprofits in Darien and New Canaan to be used for emergency assistance, music and art, transportation and other services for families and children.

The foundation recently gave: $2,500 to the Community Fund of Darien; $5,000 to Person-to-Person's Emergency Assistance Fund; $5,000 to the Tiny Miracles Foundation's Financial Assistance Program; $5,000 to the Town of Darien Firefighters Foundation; $5,000 to Arts for Healing; $7,500 to Getabout; $7,500 to the Horizons Student Enrichment Program; $2,500 to the New Canaan Community Foundation and $1,500 to the New Canaan Group Home.
