Southwest Iowa's New Catholic Foundation

The new Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa will be launched on July 1 by the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines.

According to Bishop Richard Pates, the new foundation will serve the charitable, organizational and fiscal structure of the Catholic community in the 23 counties of southwest Iowa.

Rev. David Fleming, on the other hand, hopes that the foundation wil encourage people to donate more to catholic ministries and schools.
