Renaissance Foundation to Support Social Media and Online Fundraising

The Renaissance Foundation has awarded grants to two local nonprofit organizations in Portland OR area, namely The Reading Foundation and Start Making A Reader Today (SMART). The grant will be used to help boost the use of social media to raise awareness, engage supporters as well as to raise funds.

SMART’s strategy is to use up to five of CafeGive’s applications to engage consumers in giving, in sharing their story and to engage with corporate sponsors in innovative ways. The Reading Foundation will take a similar approach, with their first online campaign planned beginning in July.
