'Scientists Will Not Be Silenced': Thousands Protest Trump Research Cuts

Thousands of researchers and supporters of science protested in more than 30 cities across the United States and Europe today.

The mood was defiant at many of the rallies, where chants of "Scientists will not be silenced" and "Facts over fear" were heard.

But the organizers know from past protests, such as the international March for Science in 2017, that rallies alone will not effect change.
