After retirement, Mennel-Bell, Charles Nicholls and B.J. Buntrock still gives back to the community thus they have been recently honored with a For Good award from the Community Foundation of Broward County.

Thor Barraclough, a spokesman for the foundation said that the awards are aimed at re-engaging new retirees to ensure they use their skills and interests to make a difference in their community.
