The Building Excellence Development Capacity Building Grant will provide fundraising services from The Curtis Group for 18 months, SCCA executive director Paul Lasakow said Monday.
“We need professional guidance in terms of fundraising,” Lasakow said. “Our development director is very good, but even the best organizations will bring on external consultants, because they can see the big picture.”
As the largest grant and scholarship provider in southeastern Virginia, the Hampton Roads Community Foundation has awarded more than $140 million in grants and scholarships since the Norfolk Foundation was founded in 1950.
