The Futuremakers Coalition organized a summit at Hodges University to hear from more than two dozen students. The summit was geared toward increasing the number of college graduates in the area workforce over the next decade. It focused its efforts on learning about the challenges and opportunities that present themselves in the students' lives.

There were a number of smaller breakout groups focusing on these challenges in high school and how they may impact the ability for these students to go to college. The breakouts utilized a variety of local community members as well as posters and discussions to discuss these topics. According to organizers, this is the beginning of an ongoing conversation to better understand the situation and reach the goals they have set for themselves.
