Sumner Redstone, executive chairman of CBS and Viacom gave an $18-million gift to the Boston University. Redstone once taught at the university.
The gift to the School of Law will support construction of a new classroom building named for the media mogul, a Boston native who received an honorary law degree from the university in 1994 and crafted one of the country's first courses in entertainment law while serving on its faculty.
