The Post-Crescent's Do It! Backpacks for Kids campaign, now on its 17th year has just began and aims to raise $30,000 to provide basic school supplies to students who can't afford the classroom essentials.
Curt Detjen, Community Foundation president and chief executive officer said that they are aware of the many children living in poverty and families still struggling, so the campaign paves a way the for the community to show they care and to provide support where they can.
